My journey hasn't been simple, but it's something I'm proud of. Everything started when I found myself stuck and confused about where to go after graduation. I knew college wouldn't be easy, not only academically, but also financially.

I first enrolled in PECIT in 2022. I made the difficult decision to drop out because I didn't want to become a financial burden to my parents. After that I tried a different path. I took the entrance exam at CSU and failed on my first attempt.

Instead of doing nothing, I studied programming at home out of curiosity. I even developed my first website using only my phone. Soon after, a friend invited me to work. There I met mentors and friends who helped me grow. I worked as a web developer and designer, my dream job, and at just 18 years old, while others were thinking about where to hang out, I was already working night shifts and earning what I once only dreamed about.

Despite earning well, something still felt missing.

In 2023 I tried again and took the CSU entrance exam with only one hour of review, and I passed. Balancing daytime studies and nighttime work was incredibly tough. Eventually I chose to pause school again to focus on work, since I was already earning more than what many could in a day.

Later I became a lead web designer, SEO specialist, and lead digital marketer at an international startup based in Texas. Even then I barely slept eight hours. My parents encouraged me to study again, and in 2024 I decided to start another chapter. I re-enrolled in PECIT as a first-year BSIS student. Thankfully they offered flexible hours for working students like me.

I met amazing people and found a family in TWG who supported my growth. I also discovered new passions like photography, which opened doors to sideline work covering weddings and events.

It wasn't always easy. Being a student, working nights, and serving as Editor in Chief all at once was exhausting. But it was worth it. Every stress and challenge shaped me.
